Maurice Austerlitz is the son of Doreen Austerlitz, and the father of Charles Austerlitz.
According to Charles, he was a man given over to his addictions, especially sexual ones, and squandered both the name and wealth of Doreen Austerlitz. This is what caused Doreen to look elsewhere for an heir to lead the Cult of Ecstasy.
