A couple of M'Nags.
A M'Nag is a tentacle-like entity found in Lusst'ghaa. They react to passers-by and lash out, hurting them. It is unknown if they ever served a purpose, or if they are just some sort of local plant or animal life.

In Lusst'ghaa, Amanda warns Victor about the M'Nags and how hard they hit. She then instructs him how to make them withdraw using the light emitted by a Vorh'n.
